Best use case
They work best on a clean, dry spot that has come to a head. They do less for deep or cystic acne because there is little surface fluid to absorb.
How long to wear one
Leave a patch on for at least six hours or overnight. Replace it when it turns opaque or loosens.
Keep expectations grounded
A patch protects one spot; it does not treat the causes of acne. Painful, scarring or persistent acne deserves advice from a clinician.
